From 'Olympic Game' to 'Political Games' on TV
A week of political TV at the Democrat Convention, plus a burned out brother needs to take a few Sundays off - how about a full year? This Wednesday and Thursday help me 'stuff' backpacks for the area homeless students. A great missional reach for the poor in our community.
Sometimes we get burned out, is a break needed?
Lindsay Lohan's dad has an issue; "When will you be forced to say no to walking your daughter down the aisle?" Also, I told a friend to 'stop going to church'. He was raised in the church and (from my perspective) he was 'burned out' on church. Are we wrong to encourage "a break from church"?
Gold Medal Talk Tonight
What a great swim...The US wins the men's 400-meter freestyle in a classic. Did you watch with your family? Most of the attention is toward Michael Phelps, but it was the old, wiley 'vet', Jason Lezak, who made history happen. What a swim to close out the last leg and win the gold for the US. The best TV in our house in quit sometime. "USA, USA..."
